Principal AI/ML Engineer - AdTech

Role Overview

As a Principal AI/ML Engineer on Zeta Global’s AdTech team, you’ll be a key individual contributor building and deploying advanced machine learning models and AI-driven features for advertising platforms. The work focuses on campaign optimization, user personalization, and creative content generation at large scale with low latency.

Responsibilities

• Machine Learning Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, resilient ML solutions for AdTech use cases; set technical direction for integrating AI/ML into the Demand-Side Platform (DSP) and broader ad tech stack.
• ML System Design: Architect and evolve end-to-end ML pipelines (data ingestion → training → real-time inference) for real-time bidding, targeting, and optimization; ensure integration with ad serving and low-latency, high-throughput requirements.
• Technical Strategy: Own the AI/ML roadmap and vision; evaluate deep learning and LLM approaches, and make build-vs-buy decisions.
• AI & Agentic Applications: Build AI agent and agentic workflow systems to automate and optimize campaign processes using LLMs/generative AI (e.g., audience segmentation, dynamic bid adjustments, creative asset generation).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and data science to translate marketing objectives into ML-driven solutions.
• Performance & Reliability: Ensure robustness and stability for ML services in a high-concurrency, low-latency environment; optimize for speed/scalability and implement monitoring for model performance and uptime.
• Mentorship & Best Practices: Provide technical guidance and mentorship; review code/models and drive continuous improvement in engineering and ML practices.

Requirements
