Presales Technical Architect

Role overview

As a Presales Technical Architect at DXC Technology, you’ll support the DXC Presales & Solutioning community by shaping technical solutions and architectures that align with customers’ business strategy and digital transformation goals.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in the presales process from win strategy through technical design to support successful contract signature.
• Partner with Sales, Account, and Technical Consultant teams to understand complex requirements and define technical solution strategies.
• Build strong relationships with potential and existing clients, acting as a go-to technical advisor.
• Advise customers on complex IT transformation initiatives and ensure proposed solutions match client expectations.
• Collaborate with technical solution and delivery teams to align architecture and delivery approach with customer needs.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in presales, solutions, and supporting competitive pursuits across industry sectors.
• Deep knowledge of global infrastructure trends, innovation, and emerging technologies.
• Experience as a Presales Technical Architect supporting Infrastructure Services for large global service integrators.
• Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders up to CxO level.
• Strong understanding of the IT outsourcing business model.
• Several years of infrastructure-domain experience across presales, solutions, engineering, operations, and service delivery.
• Experience supporting bids with Commercial and Government agencies (or equivalent).
• UK Citizenship with ability to achieve SC clearance.
• Strong written and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and learn new technologies.

Nice-to-haves / Additional expertise

• Automation experience and tools such as ServiceNow, Terraform, Ansible.
• Expertise spanning areas such as Cloud Infrastructure, Observability, DevOps, FinOps, Big Data, Machine Learning, Containerization, or Serverless.
• Experience migrating/transforming legacy solutions to public cloud and/or cloud-native operating models using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
• Broad understanding of cloud platform services, cloud-native architectures, hybrid cloud, and cloud migration strategies.
• Technology certifications (e.g., Cloud Certification).
• Familiarity with government/commercial procurement processes and contract types such as Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Time and Material, Labor Hour.
• Expert-level knowledge in more than one of DXC’s GIS portfolio areas (including ITO & Cloud).
