Pre-Sales Data and AI Architect (Solution Engineering, United States)

Role Overview

Join Salesforce as a Pre-Sales Data and AI Architect (Solution Engineering). You will design, validate, and operationalize enterprise-grade data and AI architectures centered on Salesforce D360 and the Agentforce platform, working with customer and internal technical teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical architecture: discovery and system design, hands-on validation, and production readiness with long-term scalability.
• Design and operationalize architectures for integrating Salesforce D360 into complex enterprise ecosystems.
• Collaborate with customer architects and data engineers to create scalable, secure, high-performance solutions.
• Guide technical close strategy with Account Executives based on feasibility, scalability, and customer data realities.
• Lead architectural conversations with senior technical stakeholders and influence platform/data strategy decisions.

Requirements

• Experience integrating complex, distributed data ecosystems with activation platforms like D360 to drive outcomes.
• Strong background in data engineering / technical architecture, including pre-sales or post-sales technical architecture roles.
• 7+ years hands-on experience designing and delivering data, analytics, and AI architectures in enterprise settings.
• Deep expertise in:
  • Modern cloud data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift
  • Salesforce platform architecture, including D360 and core Salesforce services
  • Data ingestion patterns: batch, streaming, CDC
  • Hands-on analytics and data prep: Python/R, DataFrames/pandas, Jupyter
  • Identity resolution, data modeling, and graph-based relationships

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience designing scalable, secure solutions using D360 across Salesforce Clouds.
• Salesforce admin proficiency (Salesforce Admin / Advanced Admin-level).
• Experience with analytics/BI tools: Tableau, Looker, Power BI.
• Applied machine learning concepts and AI-readiness architecture on top of D360.
• Knowledge of data quality, lineage, governance, and trust frameworks.
• Experience with Salesforce data graph design for D360.

Education

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent (advanced degree preferred).
