Platform Engineering Manager

About the role

Join Scandit as a Platform Engineering Manager, where you'll lead our DevOps and SRE team, own the operation and continuous improvement of our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, and drive cross-team initiatives in areas such as security and compliance. You'll bring clarity, structure, and predictable execution to the team, while partnering closely with product engineering teams and embracing modern AI-enabled tooling and practices. This role offers room for expanded scope as Scandit grows, including opportunities to take on additional engineering initiatives or teams over time. Key missions: Lead, mentor, and grow the Platform Engineering team, bringing structure and clarity to planning, execution, and reporting.. Own the operation and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, actively driving cross-team initiatives in areas such as security and compliance.. Establish roadmaps, milestones, and progress reporting to ensure stakeholders have visibility into plans, risks, and delivery, while proactively collaborating with product and engineering teams. Profile: - A structured, pragmatic engineering leader who brings clarity and predictability to complex work - Committed to high‑quality engineering practices and a people‑first leadership style - Experienced in leading DevOps/SRE or platform teams in a cloud‑native environment (AWS, GCP, GitLab or similar) - Experienced in leading distributed teams with strong communication practices - Able to engage with engineers at all levels and provide broad technical guidance - Comfortable driving cross‑team initiatives and seeing them through to completion (e.g. security or compliance efforts) - At least 3 years of software engineering experience and 5+ years leading teams - Strong in project and program management, stakeholder communication, and cross‑functional alignment
