About the role

Role Overview

As a Platform Engineer at Stitch Fix, you’ll help build and improve the company’s cloud-native infrastructure and internal developer tooling. You’ll work on tools and automation that enable product engineers to deploy, operate, and debug services more easily while learning modern platform engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and evolution of Stitch Fix’s internal platform-as-a-service.
Build and maintain tooling to improve developer workflows, deployment reliability, and day-to-day productivity.
Partner with platform and application engineers to identify friction points and implement incremental improvements.
Apply best practices in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), containerized workloads, and CI/CD pipelines.
Use (or adopt) AI-assisted development tools and help explore LLM-powered solutions for internal support and operational workflows.
Propose improvements with mentorship and support from experienced teammates.

Requirements

2+ years of software development and infrastructure experience with significant contributions.
Experience with AWS (or other cloud providers).
Experience with container orchestration, CI/CD, and/or production observability (deep expertise not required).
Strong debugging skills and a focus on improving reliability over time.
Ability to break down ambiguous problems and deliver solutions with guidance.
Developer empathy and care for improving developer experience (DX).
