About the role

Role Overview

Joveo AI is hiring a Platform Engineer (Remote) to build and maintain the internal developer platform that enables every engineering team to focus on product features rather than operations.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain the internal developer platform, including:
- Deployment tooling
- Service templates
Own Kubernetes cluster management, including:
- Service mesh configuration
- Workload orchestration
Define and enforce platform standards for:
- Observability
- Logging
- Tracing
Build self-service infrastructure tooling to reduce cognitive load for product engineers
Manage platform reliability, capacity planning, and performance at scale
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed required controls into the platform

Required Qualifications

Strong production experience with Kubernetes
Proficiency with platform tooling such as Helm, Argo CD, Crossplane, or Backstage
Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure
Familiarity with service mesh technologies: Istio, Linkerd, or Consul
Strong scripting/automation skills in Python or Go
Understanding of cloud-native patterns, GitOps, and platform engineering principles
