Platform Engineer

Role Overview

You’ll build and operate the application infrastructure powering Prediction Lab’s predictive modeling platform. Working closely with the founder and users, you’ll help shape product decisions and ensure the platform is reliable, secure, and efficient at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate platform infrastructure end-to-end (design to production)
• Drive infrastructure innovation with a focus on performance and cost for training and inference at scale
• Own security, reliability, and disaster recovery to keep user data and models safe and available
• Shape the product’s future alongside the founder and users
• Contribute ideas to elevate the team and influence how systems should be built and run
• Own incident response, from paging through postmortems

Requirements

• Experience building and operating production infrastructure at a software company with a high engineering bar
• Strong programming skills across backend services and cloud infrastructure
• Track record taking complex systems to production and keeping them reliable under load
• Strong focus on security, observability, and operational maturity
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup with high autonomy and ownership
• Thrive in a remote-first, asynchronous environment

• Domain knowledge in predictive modeling and data science
