About the role
Role Overview
Platform Engineer owning the infrastructure that powers next-generation financial connectivity for SMEs across Europe. You’ll bridge regulated financial infrastructure with modern software engineering—designing systems from scratch and removing technical bottlenecks.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Orchestration: Architect and manage robust cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes for high availability and scalability.
- Developer Experience & Tooling: Build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, internal platforms, and developer tools to streamline code-to-production.
- System Ownership: Own production systems end-to-end, from design decisions through proactive incident response and resolution.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work with product and business teams to identify technical friction and help the organization ship faster.
- Standards, Security & Reliability: Evaluate and integrate new services while raising the bar for security, observability, and system reliability.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration, specifically Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
- Strong software engineering foundations; stack primarily uses Kotlin and TypeScript.
- Pragmatic problem-solving: prefer the simplest effective solution over over-engineering.
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Growth mindset with a track record of taking projects from idea to full production.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in financial services, payment systems, or other regulated environments.
- Experience managing microservices on the JVM runtime.
Benefits / Culture
- Remote-first/distributed-first flexibility.
- Premium tooling and AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) plus modern hardware.
- 30 days annual leave.
- Equity upside.
- Home office stipend and an inclusive culture with all-hands, brown-bag sessions, and team offsites.
