Role overview

Platform Engineer II – Oracle EBS/Apps DBA to support Oracle enterprise applications and databases in a high-availability production environment. You will manage the full lifecycle of Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle databases, and middleware, including patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support, including cloud or hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

Administer Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x: installation, cloning, upgrades, online patching, and lifecycle management
Manage Oracle Database 19c RAC: backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning
Support Oracle Fusion Middleware and WebLogic: deployments, monitoring, and performance tuning
Perform security patching and vulnerability remediation across the Oracle stack
Handle Linux administration tasks including server hardening and operational support
Support cloud or hybrid platforms using OCI, AWS, or Azure with automation, monitoring, and production operations
Use approved AI tools to improve productivity, automation, documentation, and service delivery

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/IT/Computer Science/Engineering or related field
Relevant experience as an Oracle Apps DBA supporting Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Database, and production environments
Strong experience with Oracle EBS R12.2.x, Oracle Database 19c, and Oracle Fusion Middleware / WebLogic
Experience with security patching, Linux administration, vulnerability remediation, and operational support
Solid knowledge of Oracle RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, cloning, patching, backup/recovery, and performance tuning
Cloud or hybrid experience, preferably OCI (with exposure to AWS or Azure)
Communication and problem-solving skills; able to work in a 24x7 production support environment
AI literacy and ability to evaluate enterprise use cases using approved AI tools

Nice-to-haves / Tools mentioned

Exposure to AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar platforms
