About the role

Role overview

As a Platform Engineer at Fabriq, you will design, build, and operate reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. You’ll deliver automated infrastructure changes, enable engineering self-service, and support cloud and on-premise environments while maintaining high availability, security, and performance.

Deliver infrastructure changes through automation while preserving high availability and engineering quality.
Build self-service capabilities that abstract infrastructure and security complexity so engineers can focus on product development.
Adapt platform and organizational capabilities to evolving technologies, ensuring strong availability, security, and performance.
Enable on-premise customers to use Fabriq reliably.

Required profile / attributes

Ability to deliver automated infrastructure changes with strong reliability/engineering experience.
Ability to create platform structure that increases autonomy, reduces friction, and maintains cost/security/reliability standards.
French nationality required for potential on-site deployments at defense and aerospace customers.

Required knowledge

Networking: very strong knowledge across OSI layers, TLS, DNS, DHCP, routing.
Linux systems: strong Linux expertise including containers and troubleshooting.
Programming & architecture: strong programming skills and code architecture.
Test-Driven Development practices.
Domain-Driven Design (DDD) understanding.
Communication skills for documentation, customer collaboration, and change management facilitation.
Baseline security compliance knowledge: ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, etc.

Required experience

Production experience on AWS using container technologies and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Pulumi).
Production experience with Kubernetes in on-prem/private cloud contexts (e.g., storage controller management, advanced networking, control plane management).
Release management with CI (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and CD tools (e.g., Argo CD, Spinnaker).
Monitoring/alerting/observability implementation, performance troubleshooting, and reliability engineering.
Database management experience: migrations, safe schema changes without downtime, backups and restorations.
Working with AI agents.

Nice-to-haves / valued experience

Nix packaging; configuring OSes with NixOS / nix-darwin.
Experience with airgapped environments.
Experience with zero-trust systems.
Knowledge of advanced security compliance frameworks: IGI 901, FedRAMP, etc.
Experience with AI agents factories.

Full remote; listed location: Paris, France.
