Platform Engineer (Financial Cloud)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (USA, Remote/Hybrid) Role Type: Full-time, Permanent (Start: July 2026)

Role Overview

Build and operate the infrastructure that powers a Financial Cloud platform—focusing on reproducible builds, supply-chain security, and automated, safe deployments as the organization scales.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement deterministic, hermetic builds using Docker + Kubernetes with pinned toolchains to prevent deployment drift.
• Integrate supply-chain security: SLSA attestation, artifact signing, and end-to-end dependency chain verification.
• Develop a queryable graph database to analyze change impact at the PR level and enable selective, automated test orchestration.
• Operate and optimize GitOps controllers (Argo CD / Flux) for staging → canary → production promotion with automated rollbacks.
• Build and maintain site provisioning and release tooling, including:
  • site-provisioning tools
  • version management consoles
  • security patch force-push pipelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of deep engineering experience in Backend, Platform, Infrastructure, or Developer Tools.
• Strong production experience in Go (preferred) or Java/Kotlin.
• Deep production Kubernetes expertise, including building custom controllers/operators and CRDs.
• GitOps at scale.
• Hands-on experience with Bazel or Gradle, especially for reproducible builds, remote caching, and graph optimization.
• Proven experience building advanced CI/CD pipelines.

Bonus

• Prior developer platform or release engineering experience at fintech/crypto or massive-scale internet companies.
