Platform Engineer | $85/hr Remote

Role Overview

Hourly remote Platform Engineer contract focused on evaluating and completing complex infrastructure engineering tasks using coding agents, including cloud platform and reliability work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Complete and evaluate complex infrastructure engineering tasks using coding agents
• Review model-generated implementations across:
  • Cloud platforms
  • Kubernetes
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Observability
  • Infrastructure automation
• Identify bugs, edge cases, reliability issues, and system failure modes
• Compare outputs from multiple models and assess strengths/weaknesses
• Apply engineering judgment to real-world infrastructure and reliability scenarios

Requirements

• Strong experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with one or more of:
  • AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Observability tooling
• Experience using coding agents and developer productivity tools
• Ability to evaluate model-generated infrastructure and reliability engineering solutions
• Strong experience supporting production-scale systems

Contract & Compensation

• Hourly contract (remote)
• Rate: $85/hour
• Projects run sprint-based in 12–24 hour stretches depending on requirements
• Example task pay: ~$400 per typical task taking 2–3 hours after ramp-up
