About the role
Platform Design System Lead (100% Remote)
Type: Long-term contract (negotiable) Hours: 40 hours/week Location: Remote (background check required; no security clearance)
Responsibilities
- Contribute to open-source design systems, UI libraries, or reusable internal platform libraries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design consistency and scalability.
- Lead initiatives to improve user experience and interface design standards.
- Develop and maintain design documentation and best practices.
Requirements
- Experience with open-source design systems, UI libraries, or internal platform libraries.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Previous experience leading design teams or design projects.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience mentoring/leading broader platform UX consistency efforts (implied by leading teams/projects).
