Platform Cloud Engineer - REMOTE

Role Overview

Senior technical leadership role combining hands-on engineering with system-level design to integrate and deliver production-grade AI/ML and data capabilities in the cloud, leveraging LLMs, MLOps, and automation.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with technical leadership, product/program stakeholders, and business partners to deliver advanced data capabilities.
• Act as the system integrator for APIs, SDKs, and automation efforts.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of production AI/ML capabilities, including:
  • Generative AI
  • AIOps and GenOps
  • MLOps and ML-augmented engineering
• Ensure solutions are designed, implemented, maintained, observed, and supported end-to-end.
• Maintain both high-level and low-level system views; coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams and subject matter experts.
• Design, write, test, and deploy production-quality software that is:
  • maintainable, scalable
  • automated (CI/CD)
  • observable
  • well organized and readable
• Maintain engineering best practices (quality + CI/CD automation).
• Advise technical support and help build user documentation.
• Mentor early/mid-career engineers and support their growth into senior/lead roles.

Qualifications

You Must Have

• Minimum 12 years relevant experience (or 10 years with an advanced degree).
• Kubernetes (K8s) experience (required).
• Terraform experience (required).
• 5+ years in data science and machine learning.
• 5+ years across the Software Development Life Cycle and product/application development, including Python and the Python scientific stack.

We Prefer

• Flexible, patient, and able to work across multi-disciplinary challenges with varying stakeholders and toolsets.
• Cloud platform experience, ideally AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong organizational skills for knowledge/documentation/data management.

Other Helpful Experience

• SQL, Node.js, REST APIs, testing libraries.
• Experience building products using Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM APIs.
• Technical leadership experience (e.g., engineering lead for a program/product/large project).
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Vault with Kubernetes (any experience is a plus).
