Plant-based Ingredients Sourcer - By-Product hunter

Role overview

As a Plant-based Ingredients Sourcer ("By-Product hunter"), you will secure rapid and stable access to strategic plant-based lateral flow repositories by mapping, prioritizing, and sampling products. You will also build supplier relationships and optimize sourcing procedures to support business growth.

Key missions

• Develop new supply chain pathways for existing and new ingredient categories, targeting at least €100,000 in revenue.
• Contribute to the sourcing strategy and ensure its execution within your domain.
• Use and enrich the CRM for all communications and case handling via a digitalized approach.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and sample relevant plant-based raw materials and ingredients.
• Prioritize sourcing needs and maintain supplier relationships.
• Optimize sourcing procedures and improve day-to-day sourcing operations.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience sourcing vegetal raw materials.
• Strong knowledge of the food industry, its practices, and industrial processes.
• Experience sourcing food ingredients, including flavors, colors, and extracts.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including under high stress.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
• French and/or English proficiency.
• Technical knowledge is essential.
• Agronomy education is an important asset.

Salary and conditions

• Permanent contract (CDI), full-time.
• Hybrid: 2 days/week from home, per internal rules.
• Preferred location: Avignon – Agroparc; role described as full remote.
• Salary: €50k–65k gross depending on profile/experience + bonus.
• Start: ASAP.
