About the role
Role Overview
People Operations Generalist (Contract-to-hire)
Reporting to the Director of People, you’ll help run Servant’s People Operations by supporting the employee and contractor lifecycle, talent acquisition operations, and administration of core business systems. This is a hands-on role focused on process execution, accurate data, and a high-quality employee experience.
Responsibilities
People Operations
- Coordinate the employee and contractor lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding
- Maintain personnel records, compliance documentation, and manage contracts
- Support payroll and PEO administration (including state tax updates and employee changes)
- Coordinate performance review cycles, eNPS surveys, unemployment claims, and employment verifications
- Manage recurring People Ops processes and ensure they’re completed on time
- Maintain the annual HR calendar
- Support employee engagement via communications, recognition, wellness challenges, and celebrations
Talent Acquisition (Recruiting Ops)
- Coordinate interviews, scheduling, and candidate communications
- Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
- Prepare offer letters, onboarding documentation, and new hire logistics
- Assist with recruiting operations, reporting, and process improvements
Systems & Operations
- Administer and maintain core business systems, including Rippling, Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace
- Provision/reprovision user access and ensure system data integrity
- Generate reports and run data audits to ensure accuracy across systems
- Document processes, improve workflows, and support special projects to increase operational efficiency
- Coordinate logistics for internal meetings, offsites, and company events
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in People Operations or Human Resources
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Rippling or another HRIS/PEO platform
- Familiarity with Notion, Slack, and modern workplace technology
- Experience with HR reporting, data management, and systems administration
- Experience supporting performance management and employee engagement initiatives
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude) to improve productivity and workflows
