- Run full-cycle recruitment: sourcing support, screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and offers
- Partner with hiring managers to define job descriptions, interview structures, and evaluation processes
- Lead onboarding: documentation, equipment coordination, HR system setup, and a successful new-hire start
- Manage the employee lifecycle: hiring changes, leave management, offboarding, employee records, and HRIS maintenance
- Support payroll administration and employee payroll questions in partnership with external payroll providers
- Ensure US employment compliance across multiple states (wage/hour, leave policies, classifications, required documentation)
- Maintain and improve HR policies, employee handbook content, and benefits administration
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR questions, employee relations, and workplace support
- Coach managers on performance discussions, engagement, and effective people management
- Design and execute remote culture and engagement initiatives to strengthen connection and belonging
- Manage HR systems, reporting, data accuracy, and vendor relationships

- Broad HR scope experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, payroll support, and HR administration
- Strong understanding of US employment laws and HR practices across multiple states
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms (e.g., Gusto, BambooHR, or similar)
- Ability to operate independently as the primary People representative while leveraging global support
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, empathetic, and approachable communication
