About the role
Role: Pensions Developer
Work as part of an expanding pensions business supporting software and systems used across multiple clients/schemes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and manipulate data using SQL Server.
- Write and maintain Microsoft SQL (SELECT/UPDATE), including:
- Stored procedures
- Views
- Following best practices for security and efficiency
- Build data conversion routines.
- Produce software assets aligned with standards, collaborating with Business Analysts and system users.
- Plan and execute work to meet project/team targets.
- Map data feeds into IntelliPen, using IntelliFeed and SQL to:
- interrogate and understand required data
- document mapping requirements
- Develop solutions according to briefs and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with other developers to integrate applications per standards and processes.
- Specialize in development areas such as:
- Calculations
- Workflows
- Data reports
- Document Production
- Interfaces
Requirements
- Proven SQL development experience in a relational database environment.
- Strong understanding of relational databases.
- Some understanding of pensions administration/payroll.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with mapping/data-feed concepts and tooling involving IntelliPen / IntelliFeed (implied by role responsibilities).
Location & Work Model
- Fully remote, but you must visit the London office 4 times per year (travel expenses covered).
Compensation
- Salary up to £58,000 per year.
- Benefits include GPP pension, PMI, 25 days holiday, plus Life Assurance & PHI for members of the GPP scheme.
