Overview
Lead a comprehensive assessment and modernization plan for the existing iGPS platform implemented on PEGA, then design and implement PEGA BPM/Case Management, decisioning, integrations, reporting, and upgrade activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the current PEGA (iGPS) environment: BPM rules, case types, data models, decision tables, UI configuration, and integration touchpoints.
- Identify and document technical debt (e.g., manual ingestion, poor integrations, high operational overhead, audit readiness gaps).
- Perform a fit-gap analysis against target GPMS functional requirements, recommending upgrade vs. re-platforming.
- Design and implement PEGA BPM/Case Management enhancements:
- workflow automation, rule-based routing
- stage/status management
- SLA-driven case resolution
- Build/configure PEGA Decisioning Engine rules for:
- threshold-driven approval routing
- payment eligibility checks
- proforma QC validation
- auto-flagging non-compliant records
- Develop PEGA Integration Services using REST/SOAP to connect with:
- CTMS, EDC, Workday ERP, MuleSoft middleware, and OBIEE reporting layer
- Configure RBAC (Role-Based Access Controls) across finance, operations, IT, and vendor management.
- Implement immutable audit logging and automated retention aligned with SOX, GDPR, HIPAA.
- Plan and support PEGA platform upgrades (version assessment, compatibility checks, rule migration, regression strategy).
- Create a data migration plan from legacy iGPS (extraction, transformation, validation, and cutover).
- Configure dashboards and reporting for real-time payment status, KPI tracking, and audit-ready outputs.
Required Experience & Profile
- PEGA Certified System Architect (CSA) (mandatory)
- PEGA Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) (strongly preferred)
- 7–12 years total IT experience with 5+ years in PEGA platform development and architecture.
- Hands-on expertise in PEGA BPM, Case Management, Decisioning, Integration Services (REST/SOAP), and UI/UX configuration.
- Experience assessing/modernizing/upgrading legacy PEGA systems in complex enterprise environments.
- Domain experience in life sciences / CRO / pharma / clinical trial operations, especially financial operations and investigator/site grant payments (highly desirable).
Nice-to-Haves / Additional Background
- Certifications in MuleSoft, Workday integrations, or Salesforce.
- Experience integrating PEGA with ERP systems (Workday preferred), CTMS, EDC, and middleware (MuleSoft).
- Experience with multi-currency, multi-country global payment platforms and regulatory compliance (SOX/GDPR/HIPAA).
- Exposure to Salesforce ecosystem (e.g., Cloudbyz) for comparison/dual-path evaluation.
- Cloud exposure (AWS or Azure preferred).
