About the role
Role overview
Join dbt as a Partner Solutions Architect to scale dbt’s partner go-to-market strategy across North America. You’ll partner with development and sales teams to build technical and commercial momentum, and you’ll help create repeatable partner “plays” that drive measurable revenue.
Key missions
- Build and nurture partner technical relationships with partner architects, sellers, and practice leaders to drive capability and field alignment.
- Lead partner enablement through workshops, hands-on technical training, and sessions to improve partner readiness.
- Support co-sell execution by collaborating with dbt Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and regional sales leadership for target accounts.
Requirements
- 5+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, consulting, partner engineering, or another customer-facing technical role in data/analytics.
- Strong written communication to create collateral, technical narratives, and partner-facing content.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business value for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on background in SQL, data modeling, analytics engineering, and modern data platforms.
- Strong presentation, workshop, and facilitation skills for external enablement and customer-facing sessions.
- Experience enabling complex enterprise buying motions, proof-of-value, or partner-influenced sales cycles.
- Ability to explain modern data stack architectures and how dbt fits across warehouses, lakehouses, semantic layers, and AI-oriented workflows.
- Comfort operating across cross-functional teams (Sales, Partnerships, Product, Marketing) in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Experience in partner/alliance/ecosystem roles and enabling systems integrators or consulting firms.
- Familiarity with cloud marketplace motions, co-sell programs, and partner-sourced pipeline generation.
- Prior or strong interest in repeatable play design that links enablement to measurable pipeline outcomes.
- Ability to influence both strategy and execution, feeding product feedback and improving GTM.
Nice-to-haves (preferred)
- Experience with dbt and analytics engineering workflows (transformation, orchestration, governance, metadata).
- Experience with major platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery (Google Cloud), AWS, or Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience enabling adjacent tools for transformation/orchestration/governance/metadata.
Success indicators
- Rapid credibility building with partner sellers and partner architects and internal field teams, while driving co-sell outcomes and repeatable partner motions.
