Role Overview

Partner Development Representative (Private Equity) at Ramp (Full remote — New York, US). You’ll generate new partnerships with private equity firms and drive sales opportunities by engaging, qualifying, and educating key decision-makers about Ramp’s partnership program.

Key Missions & Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new partnership opportunities with private equity firms via direct outreach
  • Engage and qualify partner prospects through consultative conversations
  • Conduct research on private equity firms and their priorities
  • Educate key decision-makers on Ramp’s partnership program and communicate value to their portfolio companies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Maintain accurate client relationship data in Salesforce

Requirements

  • High comfort with sales, prospecting, and virtual/in-person outreach
  • Strong sense of entrepreneurship: self-starter with urgency; able to operate in ambiguous processes
  • Prior experience in partnerships, channel sales, or sales development
  • Strong written and verbal communication; excellent listening skills
  • Energetic, professional phone and Zoom presence
  • Prior experience partnering with or selling to financial institutions (e.g., Private Equity / Venture Capital)
  • Background in Financial Services (preferably Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital)
  • Prior experience in customer-facing and/or sales roles
  • CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
  • Experience at a high-growth startup
  • Ability to understand financial services
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with both private equity and/or venture capital channels
  • Demonstrated interest in understanding business challenges across different verticals
