Part-Time Full-Stack Developer (Laravel and VueJS)

Role Overview

Part-time Full-Stack Developer at Appetiser (Laravel + Vue/Nuxt). Work from anywhere and help build and scale web and backend services that impact users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Build beautiful websites using HTML and CSS.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to create web apps and backend solutions.
• Coordinate launches of content with clear timelines and expectations.
• Ensure reliability by preparing backup solutions.
• Grow and maintain the website by expanding features and keeping content fresh.
• Lead projects and, when needed, take charge of a team end-to-end.
• Adapt quickly to new tasks as they arise.

Requirements

• Strong self-driven work ethic and ambition; ability to perform at a high level.
• Deep knowledge and a proven track record in mobile and web app development.
• Git proficiency for version control and collaboration.
• Experience writing unit tests and building testable, maintainable code.
• Solid experience integrating the Stripe API.
• Understanding of Agile practices (Scrum or Kanban).
• Reliable internet connection (minimum 30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload).
• Must have a personal laptop/desktop capable of handling development workloads.

Backend

• In-depth experience with Laravel 10+ and the Laravel ecosystem.
• Strong grasp of SQL schema design and SOLID principles.
• Experience with MySQL query optimization and performance profiling.
• Understanding of scalable architecture and design patterns.
• Ability to develop RESTful APIs and document them using tools like Bruno, Insomnia, or Postman.
• Familiarity with server setup/deployment or experience with AWS.

Frontend

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and CSS preprocessors like Sass.
• Experience with Nuxt.js.
• Understanding of modern frontend practices: composables, state management, component reuse, and responsive design.

Nice to Have / Bonuses

• Hands-on experience with Vitest, Cypress/Playwright, and TypeScript.
• Past experience as a Developer, Engineer, or Product Manager.
