Operations Manager - Electronics and Wire Harnessing

Role Overview

Operations Manager – Electronics and Wire Harnessing (full-time, remote) oversees daily operations for electronic control systems and wire harness production. The role coordinates schedules, resources, and workflows across design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure on-time delivery and consistent product standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operational workflow across design, manufacturing, and quality teams
• Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and production planning to meet delivery and quality targets
• Monitor production metrics and identify process improvements
• Implement best practices to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and logistics to manage:
  • inventory
  • vendor relationships
  • production planning for plug-and-play vehicle systems
• Supervise team members and support performance development
• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 compliance and operational standards
• Communicate operational status to leadership and key stakeholders
• Use data and reporting to track KPIs and support data-driven decisions

Requirements

• Operations management experience in electronics manufacturing, wire harnessing, or automotive/vehicle controls
• Strong production planning, workflow optimization, and resource scheduling skills
• Knowledge of quality systems, preferably ISO 9001:2015, with experience implementing process controls and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with electronic assemblies, wiring diagrams, and plug-and-play installation practices for OEM vehicle platforms
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools to track KPIs
• Effective leadership and communication skills in a remote work environment
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally (engineering, purchasing, logistics, customer support)
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred / Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and basic supply chain management principles
• Understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements for vehicle electronics
