About the role

Role Overview

Accounting Operations Manager to strengthen the firm’s day-to-day operations. This is an important operational (non-director) role for someone who enjoys structure, documentation, follow-through, and improving processes.

Responsibilities

Turn ideas, verbal instructions, and existing workflows into clear, repeatable systems the team can consistently follow.
Work closely with firm leadership, accounting managers, and team members to support internal operations.
Improve accountability across recurring work.
Document procedures and maintain clear operational guidance.
Ensure key recurring workflows keep moving and meet established rhythms.
Support internal operations with an understanding of client service cadence and month-end deadlines, particularly in a remote environment.

Requirements

Experience working inside an accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or professional services firm.
Familiarity with the cadence of client service work, including month-end deadlines and recurring tasks.
Strong communication skills, especially for remote work.
Comfortable driving process improvement through documentation and systemization.

Compensation

$70,000 – $90,000 (annual)
