Operations, Finance Manager

Role Overview

The Operations Finance Manager is a key business partner to the BU Senior Leadership Team and Plant Leadership, providing tactical and strategic financial insights to improve cost efficiency, optimize capital investments, and align financial goals with operational strategy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Operations and Finance through business partnering, metric tracking, and KPI reporting.
• Partner with plant managers and operations leaders to identify and track cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide actionable financial insights and data to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and report on key cost drivers: labor, materials, overhead, and logistics.
• Participate in operations planning and financial forecasting/budgeting.
• Support capital investment decisions and evaluate ROI for major projects.
• Lead monthly analyses including direct/indirect costs, material usage variances, labor, and production mix.
• Analyze production data and operational metrics to ensure operational efficiency and financial health.
• Support digital transformation by expanding tools usage such as Power BI, OneStream, Hyperion, and SAP.
• Collaborate with IT to improve data integrity.

Requirements

• BA/BS required, with emphasis in finance or accounting.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams while managing competing priorities.
• In-depth knowledge of income statement analysis.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP and HFM/Essbase.
• High initiative/self-starter with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Interest in using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary range: $105,000–$120,000 plus bonus and benefits.
