About the role
Role Overview
OpenStack Support Engineer to provide day-to-day support for OpenStack cloud environments in a 100% remote long-term contract (EST work hours). You will troubleshoot complex issues across hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance for enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for OpenStack environments (deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting)
- Manage and maintain Linux-based systems that support OpenStack services
- Use Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and updates
- Diagnose and resolve issues across compute, network, and storage layers in OpenStack
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve automation, performance, and scalability
- Maintain system documentation and support procedures/materials
Requirements
- 3–5 years hands-on experience in OpenStack administration/support
- Strong Linux administration and scripting (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Proficient troubleshooting across networking, storage, and virtualization
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and excellent communication
- Ability to work independently and with a global support team

- Experience with Ansible, Git, or Jenkins
