About the role
Role Overview
OpenStack Cloud Engineer (DevOps) working remotely to support customers and the internal CloudOps team. You’ll troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Atmosphere (open-source cloud product) and related cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to customers and the internal CloudOps team via phone, ticketing, and remote sessions
- Investigate and resolve complex problems across Atmosphere products
- Contribute to and maintain the knowledge base, sharing lessons learned with customers and internal teams
- Own support cases in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and manage expectations to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Strong background in Linux and cloud technologies
- OpenStack, Kubernetes, Helm, and Ansible experience (required)
- Demonstrable understanding of cloud architecture and principles
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and Ceph (or other storage platforms)
- Strong customer service and professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT (or related) or equivalent experience
- Background check required
Bonus / Preferred
- Experience with Atmosphere
- Prometheus, Python, SRE, and Infrastructure as Code
- OpenStack-focused cloud services experience
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified OpenStack Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
- Familiarity with ML2/OVS or OVN
- Networking protocols, network virtualization, and networking principles
Remote & Timezone
- Remote role with a preference for candidates available during Americas timezones.
