About the role
Role Overview
Bright Vision Technologies is hiring an OpenShift Engineer to design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift container platforms running mission-critical workloads across on-premises and cloud environments. You will own the end-to-end platform lifecycle, partnering with application teams, security engineers, and infrastructure stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Architect, provision, and operate Red Hat OpenShift clusters on-premises, virtualized, and major cloud environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Design multi-tenant OpenShift platforms with:
- project isolation
- network policies
- quotas
- RBAC
- security context constraints
- Automate cluster lifecycle operations including installation, upgrades, scaling, and decommissioning using:
- OpenShift installer
- GitOps tooling (Argo CD, OpenShift GitOps)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Onboard application development teams with self-service patterns, project templates, CI/CD integrations, and documentation.
- Operate OpenShift networking: SDN/OVN-Kubernetes, ingress controllers, routes, network policies, and integration with enterprise firewalls/load balancers.
- Manage OpenShift storage strategies (block/file/object), including dynamic provisioning and related platform operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an OpenShift/Kubernetes platform engineer.
- Deep expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes internals.
- Strong Linux fundamentals.
- Security-first mindset.
Nice-to-haves / Other Notes
- Experience supporting mission-critical workloads across on-prem and cloud.
- Willingness to work as a direct W2 employee (no C2C/1099/third-party arrangements).
- Technical coding assessment is mandatory.
Logistics
- 100% Remote (Continental United States)
- Full-time, direct W2 engagement aligned to Bright Vision’s in-house SOW roadmap.
- Salary: $100K–$150K base (commensurate with experience)
- Sponsorship: No new H1B sponsorship; H1B transfers welcomed for qualified candidates.
