About the role

Role overview

Okta Partner Architect (Pre-Sales | Remote, USA) at Optiv. You will act as a strategic technical advisor and enablement leader, bridging Optiv’s sales, services, and partner ecosystems to deliver deep technical solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

Technical enablement & sales support

  • Deliver presentations and hands-on demos of partner technologies to internal teams and clients
  • Create and maintain technical sales tools and documentation, including:
    • sizing guidelines
    • best-practice and integration guides
    • solution design and implementation documentation
    • reusable demo assets and use-case development
  • Build and execute enablement sessions and workshops for sales and technical teams

Solution strategy & architecture

  • Define and document solution architectures, product matrices, and roadmap alignment for partner technologies
  • Provide SKU guidance, bundling strategies, and partner service mapping for consistent delivery
  • Collaborate with client advisory and delivery teams to align with best practices and deployment standards
  • Validate services and scoping for technical accuracy and consistency

Client engagement & value realization

  • Support client retention and technology optimization via advisory and best-practice assessments
  • Run client workshops to improve adoption and identify upsell opportunities
  • Partner with Client Solution Architects to help clients realize full value
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex partner-related services and solution issues

Collaboration & continuous learning

  • Periodically shadow partner engineering and internal consulting teams to stay current on capabilities
  • Participate in communities of practice and knowledge-sharing
  • Maintain expert-level technical certifications in assigned Okta technologies

Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with Okta
  • 5+ years pre-sales engineering experience
  • Experience implementing Okta Workforce or Customer Identity
  • Understanding of IAM / IDaaS competitive landscape
  • Knowledge of channel business models
  • Experience with at least one standard network security protocol: OAuth, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, or OIDC
  • Expert-level certification(s) in at least one Okta technology
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing skills (including large-audience engagements)
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Nice-to-haves / additional knowledge areas

  • Knowledge in one or more of:
    • Web development (JavaScript, HTML, frontend frameworks)
    • Mobile development (iOS, Android)
    • IP-based real-time communications
  • Hands-on cloud computing experience: AWS, GCP, or Azure
