Notice Design Lead (Fully Remote)

Role Overview

Lead the migration and redesign of taxpayer correspondence (notices, letters, and forms) by using OpenText Exstream. Partner with cross-functional teams (Taxpayer Correspondence Services, IT, and business stakeholders) to modernize outbound communications and improve effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Migration Duties

• Migrate notices/letters/correspondence from legacy tools (e.g., OpenText xPression, Correspondenix, Elixir, DesignPro, ECM, and other legacy platforms) into OpenText Exstream.
• Convert and format content to meet Exstream data ingestion requirements.
• Provide development/configuration support to ingest files from legacy systems.
• Establish at least three end-to-end test cases to validate a repeatable migration process.

Redesign Duties

• Redesign and enhance taxpayer correspondence in Exstream based on input from TCS and business units.
• Create new designs or update layouts and formatting (e.g., font, spacing, images, graphics) to meet updated standards.
• Produce samples and prototypes for review and approval.

Collaboration, Testing & Standards

• Collaborate with TCS on up to three design variations for A/B testing, incorporating feedback and performance insights.
• Support pilot execution and meet the delivery schedule with TCS and IT.
• Help develop a standardized style guide in Exstream and codify reusable design standards.

Design & Evaluation

• Apply design specifications and configure visual changes to improve notice readability and effectiveness.
• Support evaluation and continuous improvement of design outcomes.
• Participate in design reviews and implement stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

• Proven experience with OpenText Exstream for both content migration and document design.
• Hands-on experience with legacy document composition systems (e.g., xPression, Elixir DesignPro, Correspondenix).
• Strong understanding of document formatting principles, design evaluation, and user experience.
• Experience collaborating with business and IT stakeholders on correspondence redesign.
• Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and iterative design processes.
• Ability to work with large volumes of content and meet tight delivery schedules.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Haves

• Background in visual design or document layout tools.
• Experience in government/regulated environments, especially IRS or taxpayer correspondence.
