Notice Design Lead (Fully Remote)

Role Overview

Notice Content Migration & Redesign Specialist (OpenText Exstream) to migrate taxpayer correspondence from legacy systems and lead the redesign of notices, letters, and forms. Fully remote role collaborating with Taxpayer Correspondence Services (TCS), IT, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Migration Duties

• Migrate notices, letters, and correspondence from legacy platforms (e.g., OpenText xPression, Correspondenx, Elixir, DesignPro, EC—plus other legacy tools) into OpenText Exstream.
• Convert and format content to meet Exstream data ingestion requirements.
• Provide development/configuration support to ingest files from legacy systems.
• Establish at least three complete end-to-end test cases to validate a repeatable migration process.

Redesign Duties

• Redesign and enhance taxpayer correspondence content in Exstream based on direction from TCS and business units.
• Create new designs or update layouts/formatting/structure (fonts, spacing, images, graphics) to align with updated standards.
• Generate samples and prototypes for review and approval.

Collaboration & Testing

• Collaborate with TCS to support up to three design variations for A/B testing, incorporating feedback and performance insights.
• Support TCS and IT priorities (including pilot execution) and adhere to delivery schedules.
• Help develop a standardized Exstream style guide and codify reusable design standards.

Design & Evaluation

• Apply design specifications and configure visual changes to improve readability and effectiveness.
• Support consistent evaluation approaches to improve design outcomes.
• Participate in design reviews and implement stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with OpenText Exstream for both content migration and document design.
• Hands-on experience with legacy document composition systems (e.g., xPression, Elixir DesignPro, Correspondenx).
• Strong knowledge of document formatting principles, design evaluation, and user experience.
• Experience partnering with business and IT stakeholders on correspondence redesign.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and iterative design processes.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle large volumes of content and tight delivery schedules.

Nice to Have

• Experience in government/regulated environments, especially IRS or taxpayer correspondence.
• Background in visual design or document layout tools.
