Node.js Developer

Role Overview

As a Node.js Developer, you will design, develop, test, and support AWS serverless applications powering customer interactions in an AWS contact center platform. The work centers on AWS Lambda functions integrating with Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, APIs, CRM systems, and backend services to deliver secure, scalable IVR and self-service experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Node.js applications on AWS Lambda
• Build and enhance IVR and self-service workflows using Amazon Connect and Amazon Lex
• Create integrations with enterprise apps, databases, CRM systems, and third-party APIs
• Develop reusable Lambda services for authentication, routing, customer identification, case management, and self-service transactions
• Build RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures with AWS services
• Apply secure coding practices: encryption, authentication, authorization, and data protection
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation using GitHub and AWS DevOps tooling
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with architects, contact center engineers, QA, and business stakeholders
• Write unit, integration, and regression tests for serverless applications
• Produce technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of Node.js development experience
• 2+ years of hands-on AWS development experience
• Experience developing and deploying AWS Lambda
• Experience with Amazon Connect and/or Amazon Lex
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and microservices architectures
• Experience with AWS services including API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge
• Experience with Git/GitHub for source control and CI/CD
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
• Understanding of secure software development and cloud security principles
