Role Overview

Full-time, permanent opportunity for a self-driven Node.js Developer to join a web application development team. You’ll build server-side components and collaborate with front-end developers to deliver customer-facing UI and back-end services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side network components
• Build RESTful API services using Node.js
• Ensure optimal performance, responsiveness, and reliability of the central database
• Collaborate with front-end developers on UI/back-end integration
• Design customer-facing UI and back-end services for business processes
• Write testable, reusable, and efficient code
• Implement security protocols, data protection, and storage solutions
• Run diagnostic tests, fix defects, and provide technical support
• Document Node.js processes (including database schemas) and prepare reports
• Recommend and implement improvements to processes and technologies
• Stay current with advancements in Node.js development
• Participate in sprint planning/reviews, daily stand-ups, pair programming, and peer code reviews

Requirements

• Strong Node.js knowledge
• Experience developing RESTful APIs with Node.js
• Extensive JavaScript knowledge and familiarity with web stacks/libraries/frameworks
• Knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML5 and CSS3
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with version control tools such as Git (also mentions TFS/SVN)

Nice to Have

• Integration experience with data storage solutions (RDBMS / NoSQL)
• WebSockets experience
• Experience with Redis (e.g., task queues)
• Working knowledge of full-text search engines
• Integration with microservices
• Docker container experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD across QA/UAT/PROD environments
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong communication skills
