Node JS Developer -Javascript

Role Overview

Join a dynamic team as a Node.js Developer (Backend Developer). You will design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs that power the company’s products and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications using Node.js
• Create and optimize GraphQL APIs for seamless client data exchange
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software
• Apply best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure stability and performance
• Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and Agile ceremonies
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new technologies
• Maintain documentation for code, APIs, and system configurations

Requirements

• Proficiency in Node.js and GraphQL for scalable server-side APIs
• Strong JavaScript skills and familiarity with HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks
• Solid understanding of web technologies (performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, responsive design)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating backend systems
• Proficiency with Git version control
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice to Have

• Experience working in an Agile development setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)

Contract & Work Model

• Contract position initially for 6 months, with potential extension based on needs and performance
• Location: Sunnyvale, CA with a hybrid work model (balance remote and onsite collaboration)
