Role Overview

Node.js Developer (AWS) to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native backend systems. Location: Dallas, TX / Remote.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript
Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices
Deploy and manage AWS cloud-native applications
Build serverless features using AWS Lambda and API Gateway
Integrate with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability
Implement authentication/authorization using OAuth2, JWT, and AWS IAM
Write clean, maintainable, reusable code
Create unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, QA, and business stakeholders
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews
Troubleshoot production issues and drive performance improvements

10+ years of professional experience in Node.js development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or related field
Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services using Express.js or NestJS
Strong experience with AWS cloud services
Experience with microservices-based applications
Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies

AWS certification: AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Serverless architecture experience
Terraform and/or CloudFormation
Kubernetes and Docker
Event-driven architecture knowledge
Domain experience (financial, healthcare, retail, enterprise)
Frontend exposure: React, Angular, or Vue.js
