Node JS Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications and APIs that support clients’ digital initiatives. You’ll collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance backend services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js for high performance and responsiveness.
• Build and optimize GraphQL APIs to enable seamless data exchange between client applications and backend services.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration with backend systems.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing features with server-side logic.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain code quality and application stability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and best practices.
• Work with project managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver on time.
• Stay current with industry trends and apply best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and maintaining server-side applications with Node.js.
• Strong proficiency with GraphQL for building and maintaining APIs.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, and familiarity with HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend systems.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

Work Model / Location

• Hybrid work environment based in Sunnyvale, CA with flexibility between remote and on-site collaboration.
