About the role
Role overview
Brillio is hiring a Node.js Backend Developer (AWS) to work as a consultant within the DE team. You’ll design and implement serverless applications for an AWS-based contact center platform, helping deliver secure, scalable, and intelligent IVR and self-service experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support Node.js applications running on AWS Lambda
- Build and enhance IVR and self-service workflows using Amazon Connect and Amazon Lex
- Create integrations between contact center platforms and enterprise systems (APIs, databases, CRM, third-party APIs)
- Develop reusable Lambda services for authentication, routing, customer identification, case management, and self-service transactions
- Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using AWS services
- Apply secure coding practices (encryption, authentication, authorization, data protection)
- Work on CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation using GitHub and AWS DevOps services
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with architects, contact center engineers, QA, and business stakeholders
- Create unit/integration/regression tests and maintain technical documentation/runbooks
Requirements
- 3+ years of Node.js development experience
- 2+ years of hands-on AWS development experience
- Experience developing and deploying AWS Lambda functions
- Experience with Amazon Connect and/or Amazon Lex
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and microservices architectures
- Experience with AWS services including: API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub for source control and CI/CD
- Strong debugging/troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
- Understanding of secure software development and cloud security principles
- Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science/IT/Engineering) or equivalent experience
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building contact center IVR solutions
- Experience with conversational AI/chatbots
- Experience integrating with CRM platforms
