About the role

Role Overview

The National Territory Manager will lead growth initiatives in the U.S. convenience store market, focusing on expanding distribution through McLane (and other key channel partners). This is a high-impact sales role responsible for securing new accounts and driving year-over-year revenue growth across new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy to grow market share in convenience stores, with emphasis on McLane distribution networks
  • Identify and secure new distribution opportunities, retail partnerships, and key account relationships across the U.S.
  • Drive consistent year-over-year revenue growth via new business development and expansion of current accounts
  • Build and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and direct retail accounts to increase product placement and sales volume
  • Create and implement plans for pricing, promotions, merchandising, and product placement to maximize sell-through
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and consumer behavior to find and refine growth opportunities
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular updates on pipeline, account performance, and territory growth
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations to support launches and execution
  • Help build sales infrastructure as the organization scales, including mentoring future sales team members

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive sales experience in CPG, tobacco, convenience retail, or a similar channel-driven industry
  • Proven success expanding into new markets and generating measurable year-over-year sales growth
  • Strong distributor relationship experience, ideally including McLane or similar national convenience distributors
  • Demonstrated ability to win new business, negotiate partnerships, and grow strategic accounts
  • Solid understanding of the convenience store landscape (distribution models, merchandising, go-to-market execution)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable working independently
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support customer and distributor meetings
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred

Compensation

  • $70,000–$80,000 base salary plus uncapped commission
