Role Overview

Modern Work Architect (100% Remote, US Time Zone)

Inviso is seeking an architect to lead end-to-end collaboration platform migrations for mid-market and enterprise customers. You will drive migration engagements from discovery and solution design through execution, cutover, and post-migration stabilization, acting as a technology leader within Microsoft Solutions Group (MSG).

Responsibilities

• Own migration engagements end-to-end: discovery, solution design, execution, cutover, and hypercare
• Perform detailed environment discovery and assessment to design a secure and scalable Microsoft 365 tenant
• Design and implement a standard Microsoft 365 foundation (identity, security, governance, and collaboration services)
• Lead target-state collaboration architectures and migration strategies
• Plan and execute migrations from Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom to Microsoft 365/Teams
• Manage migration sequencing, pilots, cutover planning, validation, and stabilization
• Serve as primary technical authority for customers; guide engineers and consultants delivering migration work
• Communicate risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to IT, security, and business stakeholders
• Support technical presales via architecture contributions, proposals, and statements of work

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering Microsoft 365 solutions in consulting or enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 tenancy and interdependencies across: Entra, Intune, Purview, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams
• Proven experience leading Google Workspace → Microsoft 365 migrations
• Hands-on experience migrating Slack → Microsoft Teams
• Expertise transitioning Zoom-centric collaboration models to Microsoft Teams
• Strong expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams architecture
• Strong expertise in Conditional Access, Defender for Endpoint, and Defender for Cloud
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (identity and access)
• Deep understanding of device management capabilities: Intune, application packaging, Defender for Endpoint
• Foundational knowledge of Purview (Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention)
• Experience with migration tooling/automation and PowerShell scripting

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Microsoft-funded or time-boxed migration engagements
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and data protection considerations during migration
• Mentoring engineers or leading small delivery teams
• Experience serving mid-market or enterprise customers under tight timelines
• Preferred: Microsoft certifications (e.g., M365 Administrator; title truncated in posting)
