Mobile UI Engineer Remote

Role Overview

Mobile UI Engineer (Remote) — Contract Mercor is seeking a mobile UI engineer to collaborate with AI researchers and product partners, build reusable UI components, and integrate with backend platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers and product partners on concept creation and backend integration
• Develop reusable, well-tested software components for interfacing with back-end platforms
• Implement custom user interfaces using modern programming techniques and technologies
• Present designs, prototypes, and concepts to cross-functional stakeholders
• Build across multiple coding languages/technologies to support applications across platforms

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Experience building maintainable, testable codebases, including:
  • API design
  • Unit testing
• Exposure to architectural patterns used in large-scale software applications
• Scripting language experience: Python, JavaScript, or Hack
• Experience building Android applications using Java or Kotlin with the Android SDK
• Demonstrated ownership of a component, feature, or system

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building complex iOS apps for iPhone/iPad with Objective-C/C++/Swift using the iOS SDK
• Experience with multithreaded programming and mobile memory management

Contract & Compensation

• $80–$110/hour
• Remote
