About the role

Role Overview

Join DataAnnotation’s coding team as a Mobile Software Engineer contributing to AI development through programming tasks and evaluation work. You’ll design and solve coding problems, write code snippets with explanations, and review AI-generated code to improve accuracy, performance, and clarity.

Responsibilities

Design and solve coding problems used to train AI systems, with an emphasis on Android development
Write clear, high-quality code snippets and provide detailed explanations
Evaluate AI-generated code for:
- accuracy
- performance
- clarity
Provide feedback that helps shape future AI model outputs

Requirements

Fluency in English (native or bilingual)
Excellent writing and grammar skills
Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress)
Preferred: prior experience as a Software Developer / Software Engineer / Programmer

Preferred Skills

Kotlin experience
Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Swift

Work Style & Compensation

Fully remote with a flexible schedule (choose projects and timing)
Paid hourly with rates starting at $50–$100+/hr (higher-paying projects for strong performance)
Paid via PayPal (no money requested from candidates)
