Role Overview
Contract Mobile Game Developer working on cross-platform mobile games using Solar2D (Corona SDK) and Lua. The position is remote and expects 10–40 hours/week.
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and build cross-platform mobile games with Solar2D using Lua
- Implement core gameplay mechanics and game systems from concept to deployment
- Optimize performance for smooth gameplay across many mobile devices
- Integrate monetization features including:
- In-app purchases
- Ad networks
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to iterate on gameplay
- Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code following game development best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience developing mobile games with Solar2D (Corona SDK) and Lua
- Strong understanding of cross-platform deployment for iOS and Android
- Ability to prototype quickly in fast-paced environments
- Solid knowledge of mobile performance optimization and device compatibility
- Experience integrating monetization solutions (ads and in-app purchases)
