About the role

Role overview

As a Mobile Full Stack Developer, you will design, build, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications and the associated backend services. You’ll collaborate with digital solution engineers, product teams, and end users to translate complex requirements into reliable, secure solutions.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter (Dart) for iOS and Android
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI
Create responsive UI for diverse audiences (field technicians to tablet users)
Collaborate with product owners and engineers to deliver solutions to complex problems
Optimize mobile app and backend for reliability, security, and performance
Refactor legacy code for readability, reusability, and reliability
Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and new packages/libraries
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize across the stack
Participate in Agile practices (sprint planning, stand-ups, refinements, retrospectives)
Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments via strong version control practices

Requirements

3+ years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in Flutter and Python, including FastAPI (async frameworks)
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
Knowledge of authentication/authorization strategies
Experience with Flutter state management, especially BLoC
Competency with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases
Familiarity with cloud computing, especially Azure and/or GCP
Proficiency with IDEs such as VSCode or PyCharm; mobile IDEs like Xcode and/or Android Studio
Familiarity with Git and version control best practices
Experience writing unit and integration tests
Ability to communicate in English for safety/operations directions

Preferred qualifications

Familiarity with code assistance tools such as Cursor and Gemini
Oil & gas industry knowledge/experience
Experience with Angular web development

Location / travel

Houston, TX
Occasional travel to well-sites, trade shows, and customer offices
