About the role

Role overview

As a Mobile Full Stack Developer, you will design, build, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications and the associated backend services. You’ll collaborate with digital solution engineers, product teams, and end users to translate complex requirements into reliable, secure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter (Dart) for iOS and Android
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI
  • Create responsive UI for diverse audiences (field technicians to tablet users)
  • Collaborate with product owners and engineers to deliver solutions to complex problems
  • Optimize mobile app and backend for reliability, security, and performance
  • Refactor legacy code for readability, reusability, and reliability
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and new packages/libraries
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize across the stack
  • Participate in Agile practices (sprint planning, stand-ups, refinements, retrospectives)
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments via strong version control practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in Flutter and Python, including FastAPI (async frameworks)
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of authentication/authorization strategies
  • Experience with Flutter state management, especially BLoC
  • Competency with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, especially Azure and/or GCP
  • Proficiency with IDEs such as VSCode or PyCharm; mobile IDEs like Xcode and/or Android Studio
  • Familiarity with Git and version control best practices
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Ability to communicate in English for safety/operations directions

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with code assistance tools such as Cursor and Gemini
  • Oil & gas industry knowledge/experience
  • Experience with Angular web development

Location / travel

  • Houston, TX
  • Occasional travel to well-sites, trade shows, and customer offices
