Mobile Developer

Role Overview

As a Mobile Engineer at GLOBO, you’ll help drive innovation across the company’s mobile applications (iOS and Android). Working with the Director of Engineering, you’ll deliver and maintain features in a product focused on modern language services and omnichannel communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and improve existing mobile functionality
• Diagnose and fix bugs to ensure a smooth, error-free experience for clients and staff
• Build and maintain unit and integration tests
• Perform code reviews for mobile applications
• Investigate and document the impact of feature changes, including downstream technical effects
• Manage and reduce technical debt to improve team efficiency and developer experience

Requirements

• Strong expertise in:
  • Ruby on Rails
  • PostgreSQL
  • AWS
  • Redis
  • Twilio
  • Objective-C/Swift
  • Android/Java
  • JavaScript and React
  • Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
  • RabbitMQ
• At least 2+ years of software development experience (or 3+ years as listed)
• At least 1 year building native mobile apps for both iOS and Android
• Strong UI/UX instincts
• Clear verbal and written communication
