Role Overview

Alight Solutions is seeking a seasoned, hands-on Mobile Architect to lead the design and development of robust cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. You will define and maintain the overall architecture of the mobile solutions and ensure high standards for quality, security, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop mobile applications for iOS and Android using cross-platform frameworks.
• Define and enforce best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to support smooth delivery and rapid issue resolution.
• Write clean, maintainable code and implement automated testing.
• Perform thorough code reviews to uphold quality and scalability standards.
• Integrate mobile apps with cloud services and backend systems.
• Mentor and guide junior developers to build team excellence.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of mobile development, with 2+ years in a Mobile Architect role.
• Cross-platform: Ionic & Capacitor with Angular or React Native.
• iOS: Swift, SwiftUI, and XCTest (or equivalent).
• Android: Java/Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Espresso (or equivalent).
• Cloud integration: Firebase.

Nice to Have

• Performance profiling and optimization for iOS and Android.
• Monitoring/crash reporting (e.g., Crashlytics or equivalent).
• Familiarity with AWS.
• Strong mobile UI/UX principles.
