Mobile Application Developer

Role Overview

You will develop the native Android experience for BJAK’s AI Finance Agent, an AI-driven product intended to make financial services easier for users. You’ll build features that help customers manage insurance, payments, claims, and renewals and improve the overall mobile user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship native Android features using Kotlin, focusing on performance and reliability
• Create intuitive mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, and renewals
• Work with product managers and designers to simplify complex user journeys
• Integrate backend REST APIs securely and ensure app stability/responsiveness
• Optimize performance: reduce crash rates, improve load times, and manage memory
• Use analytics, user feedback, and production data to identify issues and implement improvements
• Build AI-assisted mobile features that enhance the user journey and are reliable
• Maintain code quality via code reviews and testing while following mobile best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Android development with Kotlin
• Proficiency with modern Android frameworks/libraries including:
  • Jetpack Compose
  • Coroutines
  • Flow
• Solid understanding of the Android SDK, architecture components, and mobile best practices
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and troubleshooting production issues
• Strong mobile UX/usability focus, including edge case handling
• Experience with performance optimization, crash analysis, and memory management
• Familiarity with GitHub (version control)
• English communication skills (written and verbal)
