Mobile App Developer

Work with computer analysts and engineers to design, test, and develop secure mobile applications that meet evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize secure mobile applications for changing requirements.
• Create, migrate, and update mobile app code using C# within the .NET MAUI framework.
• Communicate with customers, team members, and supervisors on application development and direction.
• Perform routine site audits, ongoing maintenance, and application testing as needed.
• Support configuration management (CM):
  • Baseline identification of configuration items and periodic audits
  • Ensure compliance with CM process standards, plans, and procedures
  • Assess change requests in the CM tool and manage data across the CM lifecycle
  • Create, manage, and maintain project-specific Configuration Management Plans and configuration item lists
  • Maintain reports and support CM status reporting for technical events
• Participate in engineering and release governance meetings:
  • Engineering Review Board (ERB) / Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Configuration Control Board to obtain release authorizations and baseline change info
• Work cross-functionally to streamline processes and drive process excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Mobile development experience for Android and iOS.
• Experience with Responsive Web Design using JavaScript-based frameworks.
• Mobile technologies experience with at least one of: Xamarin, .NET MAUI, or Flutter.
• Experience using IDE products and setting up application architecture for reuse.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance (generally requires U.S. citizenship).
• Obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of wireless networks.
• Working knowledge of smartphone/tablet platforms (Windows/macOS environments included).
• Cross-platform experience across both Android and iOS.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles.
• Experience in Agile and with distributed teams.
• Experience integrating with external REST APIs and web services.
• Strong understanding of SDLC with emphasis on Agile.
• Ability to communicate with technical and business partners; provide feedback on estimation and process improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead resolution quickly.
• Deep familiarity with mobile communication technologies: HTTP(S), JSON, Bluetooth LE, NFC.
• Experience with multiple technologies including Java and Objective-C/Swift, OOP, and common web/app server technologies (e.g., MVC frameworks, HTML5, CSS, XAML, JavaScript, jQuery, Apache Tomcat).
• Ability to multitask, work independently with minimal supervision, and maintain quality and accuracy.
