About the role

Mobile App Developer (Cross-Platform)

Reporting to the Principal Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality cross-platform mobile applications.

Responsibilities

Mobile app development & architecture

Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter and Dart for iOS and Android
Architect scalable, maintainable, high-performance solutions
Apply modern architecture/state patterns: MVVM, Clean Architecture, and/or BLoC
Build reusable components and keep code clean, modular, and scalable
Optimize for performance, responsiveness, and reliability across devices

Application integration & platform connectivity

Integrate with backend services using RESTful APIs and secure authentication
Support hardware connectivity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Near Field Communication (NFC)
Collaborate with hardware/firmware/backend teams for reliable system integration
Troubleshoot connectivity issues across mobile, hardware, and cloud

Quality testing & performance optimization

Develop and maintain unit/widget/integration tests
Diagnose and fix bugs, defects, and performance issues across the app lifecycle
Ensure apps meet performance benchmarks and platform requirements

Deployment & release management

Manage mobile deployment lifecycle and releases to Apple App Store and Google Play Store
Provide post-release troubleshooting and issue resolution

Cross-functional collaboration

Work with UI/UX to translate designs into intuitive interfaces
Partner with backend and product stakeholders to refine requirements and roadmap alignment
Participate in technical discussions and provide recommendations for feature enhancements

Continuous improvement & technical leadership

Stay current with mobile tech and best practices
Improve mobile engineering standards, workflows, and architectural decisions
Proactively enhance performance, usability, and long-term maintainability

Requirements / Qualifications

Strong experience building cross-platform mobile apps with Flutter and Dart
Ability to integrate with backend services via RESTful APIs and authentication
Experience with hardware connectivity, specifically BLE and NFC
Experience with testing (unit/widget/integration) and performance debugging

Nice-to-haves

Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and/or BLoC patterns
Experience with deployment and release management for App Store and Google Play
Strong collaboration with UI/UX, product, hardware, and backend teams
