About the role
Role Overview
Senior MLOps Engineer for a health-tech startup (remote, US). You will help scale production machine learning systems by building and operating the platforms, pipelines, and deployment frameworks that make ML reliable and efficient in production.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate ML infrastructure powering model deployment and production reliability
- Design ML platform engineering (platforms, pipelines, and deployment frameworks)
- Work on distributed systems and data pipelines for large-scale workloads
- Implement monitoring, telemetry, and observability to optimize performance in production
- Provide architectural leadership and collaborate with the team on platform strategy
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong Python development
- Production MLOps experience
- AWS experience deploying machine learning workloads
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines for model deployment
- Knowledge of distributed systems
- Infrastructure automation experience
- Monitoring/telemetry/observability expertise
- Experience supporting large-scale production environments
Nice-to-Haves
- IoT / connected-device experience
- Kafka, Kinesis, or Flink
- Health-tech or wearable device experience
- ML platform engineering and cloud cost optimization
- Real-time inference systems
- Startup experience; Staff-level engineering experience
