MLOps Engineer | $85/hr Remote

Role Overview

Hourly, sprint-based remote contract for an MLOps Engineer focused on evaluating and improving production-oriented machine learning engineering work, including LLM applications.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Complete and evaluate complex ML engineering tasks using coding agents
• Review model-generated implementations spanning:
  • model training
  • inference systems
  • MLOps
  • LLM applications
• Identify issues across implementations:
  • bugs and edge cases
  • performance problems
  • system failure modes
• Compare outputs from multiple models and assess tradeoffs
• Apply engineering judgment to real-world ML engineering scenarios

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in machine learning engineering
• Strong experience building production ML systems, such as:
  • model deployment infrastructure
  • LLM applications
  • intelligent software products
• Strong experience using coding agents and developer productivity tools
• Ability to evaluate model-generated implementations and technical tradeoffs
• Strong experience deploying ML systems to production environments

Contract & Logistics

• Remote (United States)
• Hourly contract, sprint-based work in 12–24 hour stretches
• Typical accepted tasks: ~$400 per task taking 2–3 hours after ramp-up
• Rate: $85/hour
